Mosaic is easy to navigate- if an issue crops up and I report it, the response time is great too. And it allows me to always know how my company is doing as it provides a financial reading of the company at any given time. Not just that, there are different types of company reports that you can access. Being able to support the organization’s function is a boon.
There is a lot I like about Mosaic, The thorough reports on various departments that it provides, its user interface is people friendly, and learning it mostly depends on its usage and practice.

Plexxis, has allow us to integrate all faces in the same program, in turn this give us a true reading of the financial health of the company at an given time. The program has many different features that allow to search for information quickly.
What i like the best about this program is the many different reports we can access, the easy access to employee personal/payroll records. I feel AP module is very easy to work, i completely like i can enter invoices from different months at the same time.
AR module is a little cumbersome, to many steps. Customer serves module needs some improvement, when we are billing or doing PR we are not able to see what lot number it is we only see a TK#, it is time consuming to stop and research what lot#/job it is.

Project Management and Operations have amazing visibility into the project’s health at any given moment. When properly setup and managed, a PM can track and give financial projections with a level of certainty that is not available with most other systems. The ability to manage and streamline Material Purchasing, from quote, to field delivery, to invoicing, to payment is a function we could not live without after using Plexxis Purchasing systems.
Plexxis is NOT an EASY button. Plexxis will not offset lack of process, or poor work habits. It will expose and exacerbate them though, which often times leads to frustration and blame pointed at the system. When you see a cool feature demo’d, keep in mind it is omitting 2 major ingredients… People and Legacy. I would like to see Plexxis work in partnership with POINT-SOLUTIONS to build robust integrations. They do not need to try to build every module, just good integrations.
The program is very easy to navigate through. I really like that if I have an issue that I receive responses very quickly. I appreciate not being left waiting for long periods of time without having an answers.
I appreciate that if I have an issue that my problem is resolved in an efficient manner.
Perhaps if something has been changed, I would like to be advised of that if the function pertains to me (if I used it all time). Not sure if that would be possible but it is an idea.
Mosaic Enterprise Suite is a one stop shopping from estimating to accounting. We’ve found it performs well across the board and helped us tremendously in the project management area.
We found the project analytics and ad hoc reporting very helpful there was basically a report for everything and the analytics / hour pages in the jobs center were great for quick overviews. While it took a while on our end to get set up (and still working on it) the inventory system and item picker really helped track out materials better and help employees learn the material and find what they needed.
We had a few problem when implementing accounting and payroll dues to a few oddities on our end that took a while to figure out but Plexxis support team was there and helped us get it sorted.
All inclusive contractor accounting software that performs all accounting features (financials, A/R, A/P, etc.) as well as manages all jobs, bids, and payroll.
The best part of this software is its ability to automatically calculate your WIP adjustment based on posted costs and expected cost to complete. This saves a lot of time when creating the monthly financials.
The payroll function could be improved. Many contractors do not perform in house payroll because it can be very complicated. If Mosaic’s payroll feature could calculate overtime and per diem based on location and other factors, it would make doing in house payroll much easier.
We recently installed the Plexxis app and have already begun to notice the increase in productivity and accuracy of information. Considering the amount of data to replicate, the implementation process went relatively smooth. The in person training and help with implementation is leagues beyond what other software providers offer.
It’s hard to pick 1 “best” thing about the software. Reports may be it though. The number of reports for the various needs is tremendous - payroll, census, job costing, WIP… the types of things that normally have to be cobbled together from multiple reports into excel, Plexxis just does.
The other “best” thing is actually outside the Software - the people at Plexxis. The dedication to support after sale has no equal.
For as great and well thought out as the software is, there’s the occasional common sense item that gets overlooked like not showing an employee’s full name in the time entry grid or the Job Center not having at-a-glance Customer & Job displayed together in the list view.

Overall it’s fine. Unfortunately, there seem to be a lot of little bugs that require attention regularly. Also, the software could be more intuitive, and user friendly (ie. a better search/help function).
Overall, the capabilities for all aspects of the accounting cycle, inventory management, etc. are good, and the reports are quite robust.

The program/software is better than the last program we were using.
Compared to our previous software, it is more user friendly. It is easy to access the information we need.
There are some things I think should be part of the basic program that end up needing to be specially created to meet our needs. For example, having the option of having PTO on employee’s check stubs or a sub pay app to include the retainage being deducted from a subcontractors check.
Plexxis is specifically designed for the construction industry. It great for the billing side as we are able to add customer specific pay apps which saves a lot of time. The customer support team is always friendly and helpful.
When something is removed in a system update but it is something you use a lot and need it still.
We use it for our accounting needs
larger work space screens; be able to override and backspace over mistakes; when entering bills do not let the system carry over the name of the vendor to the next bill; not have to hit the “add” button to enter new transactions or the “minus” button to clear off a screen without it adding a “0” transaction.
It’s good for accounting but not much else.
Honestly, the support
There’s no consistent connection between phases of jobs i.e. bid invitation doesn’t speak to the job center (from all tabs) and the job center doesn’t fully communicate with the billing functions. Also, why have dates if they trigger nothing? A good job center should have date-triggered tasks with responsibility (person assigned), and those tasks pop up in that employee’s dashboard until they’re complete. The dates do nothing, allowing you to miss critical due dates & allowing status to stay in that “status” in perpetuity until it’s manually changed.
Multi function construction software that integrates estimating, accounting and inventory into one.
The program is easy to navigate. The service tickets, A/P and invoicing are all strengths. The addition of the “Tools” was a nice surprise and although not utilized to it’s fullest capacity on our end, is a good addition.
Too many places to complete the same task. It makes the program very heavy in information and not as clean as it could be. Too many reports however, I see a report memorization feature in the new update. Inventory has always been an issue and is still not accurate.
The ERP system overall is pretty robust, the various modules work similar so makes learning easier (if you use more the one of the modules )
Saving documents into various screens (saves paper). The drill down from various screens works great too
Wish the item set up was a bit cleaner /easier (the UOMs) The inventory module is very clunky & not ideal. You can never delete anything set up (just inactivate) Wish there was better customization for reports (that you can do yourself without contacting Plexxis)
It is such a great software for subcontractor to make all work efficient. I would like to recommend to others to purchase this software. Implementing team and customer service phone line are greatly helpful and so many functions to be designed. Winbid & Foreman app are integrated with ERP, and we are still working on those integration & excited to see fully functioned well in near future.
Some print out and export excel were not clearly done and need to improve more. Also revenue account break by material & labor has to be separated out.
Foreman app has not completely functioned well.
Plexxis ERP is an all encompassing software suite that allows you to manage and view purchase orders, job cost, change orders, and the like in one centralized location.
The ability to submit time & material tickets and material requisitions through the field app is great.
The program locks up from time to time and the user interface could be modernized.
The Interaction between the PM / Accounting and the estimating module is great and give Mosaic an advantage over other software. ERP & WindBid is really user friendly.
We like the integration with the field. We like the drag and drop documents into the data base functionality as well the progress billing. One of the best accounting systems you can find in the Market. WinBid is also one of the best estimating software. Customer support is great.
The speed of the reports in WinBid need to be improved. When we have large bids it take a while to load the data. Subcontractor payment application module in ERP need to be faster and improved.
The product allows us to accurately tie all aspects of the business into one system. This allows us to better project and analyze our company data. Automating job reports and scheduling automatic distribution of the reports has been a huge time saver for us!
One of the things that I like best about this product is that it allows for more accuracy as well as a multitude of options. In my experience, these two do not always coincide so well.
What I like least about this software is that it does not allow for direct government payments on the accounting side and there is not a dashboard for this portion of the software for easier visibility and tracking purposes.

The software keeps all relevant company systems and information in one software solution. This helps us streamline internal processes and complete tasks more effectively and efficiently.

The software is a great way to include all aspects of the project. It allows all team members to contribute their specific part.
Seeing the breakdown of where costs are allocated, the breakdown in reports, its incredible the amount of detail.
The look of the screens—they all look the same. TO change an invoice is so tedious, you have to take 1000 steps just to revise a value.
MES is construction software that links your accounting back office with your takeoff and bid in a seamless manner allowing everyone from the field foreman to project manager and directors to see in real time how the project is progressing.
WinBid is nice on many levels, beginning with the ease of dragging and dropping architectural drawings and allowing the OCR (optical character recognition) to label drawings in order with page number and description, huge time saver.
The hotlink function is also super fast. Where OST (on screen takeoff) used to take a half day to rope and hotlink details on a large project can now be done in under an hour.
One irritating function is measuring. OST would automatically give you FT’ and IN" where WinBid only gives you one or the other. This should be an easy fix should they direct their attention to it.
Also in Plexxis ERP the budgeting feature is very clunky. Once taking the time to setup material and then creating the PO it often loses the Job special pricing and you have to re enter it manually on the PO.
The suite is a fully integrated accounting system including POs, AP Bills, AR Invoicing, Payroll and Job Costing. It also has a Paperfree component which allows documents to be routed for approval.
The best thing about the software is the ability to drill into an area to get more detail. For instance if you are looking at the total cost of materials for a given month you can drill into it to see exactly what bills make up this. This functionality is throughout the program. Also the ability to export almost any report into Excel is big plus. Also the ability to have cost committed once the PO is done is great for getting a more accurate picture of the cost at any given time. The support personnel are very friendly and will do what ever possible to fix your issue.
There are several bugs in the program that makes it a little annoying sometime. The program can sometime get unstable and freeze up and require a reboot. Some of the reports don’t function well. To me the payroll process is a little cumbersome and could be improved. Also if you need a custom report the wait time is too long. Finally when new releases are released they often break something that was previously working.

Mosaic Enterprise is a complete ERP package that includes an estimating platform and a mobile app. The ERP encompasses the full accounting cycle including generating financial statements.
The seamless interaction between the ERP and the estimating module is what gives Mosaic an advantage over similar products. Job costing is driven by the estimator, this helps the ERP users ensure that they are dealing with the most up to date information. It also gives the supervisors a tool to measure their performance against the budget. The seamless interaction between the ERP and estimating allows us to quickly price extra to contract and site instruction work.
We find that entering piecework labour is not as efficient as we would like it to be.
Mosaic is the first ERP we’ve encountered over the years to address the needs of the Specialy Contractor. It’s design is logical and practical. It’s intuitive nature enhances ease of use.

Plexxis is a great software, we have been able to integrate two different systems into one to make the process easier.
What I like the best about it is how easy to use it is. I love the batching system, it makes it almost impossible to cost things in wrong months, also what i like is how each vendor is tide to a GL this feature gives NO room for wrong costing.
The services module needs improvement, when job costing or invoicing billable tickets is difficult as the information filtering through is ambiguous for example it shows services tk 1 or service tk 2 but in billing or PR screen we don’t know what that is, it would be helpful if we can see TK# ILO service tk. Also, we still not completely integrated in t

I like that the software is so intuitive. It has been set up in a way that makes it easy to use and fast to learn.
The development time for reporting enhancements can take a long time.

Excellent tool for our business type: very good at tracking jobs and progress billing. Love having one tool for all our needs. Easy for financials and tracking reports. Having multiple users capacity is a must for us. FS and other reports all at one place makes my job easier.
Drilling into details is fantastic. Being able to export in Excel and pdf is another added value.
Excel reporting - can’t do large reports and all the Quebec calculation and reporting (payroll, taxes, unions etc) that are not acurate.
Our company recently implemented Plexxis. The staff we worked with at Plexxis was amazing, very helpful and patient with everyone in our company.We are now able to Job Cost each job and track labor hours and sub contractor payments efficiently. No more spreadsheets.
We like the fact that everything is in one place, and we can look up and track the entire job in one spot.
The onky thing is the Banking and it not downloading the daily Bank Feeds.
Plexxis has been an amazing piece of software that offers a ton of features to help with accounting, estimating and project management, all while being user friendly.
Plexxis accompanied by the mobile app makes payroll a breeze. The app also allows the field to track tools, submit material requisitions, write T&M tickets and much more. The value it bring to our project management team through job projections and custom reporting is invaluable.
Integration with other systems has been a challenge
We use Plexxis for construction and it has many great features that make it easy and efficient to job cost and evaluate jobs.
Their support is amazing and readily available. Custom report options for anything not available by default. Easy to use

For me Certified Payroll Reports can be a little difficult. But this system makes it so much less complicated. It really simplifies the process. It produces everything, from the employees name, hours, taxes down to the project and location. All I do is verify and sign.
I like the payroll process. It calculates the certified payroll hours along with the regular hours. This system makes it easy to keep up with the travel and reimbursements.
It would be good when I’m doing A/P that it will carry the invoice number over from the receipt screen to the billing screen.

End to end software that unites every aspect of the job from set up to production tracking and everything in between. We continue to learn more everyday and the Plexxis team is always trying to improve the overall system!
We eliminated several older software applications since switching to Plexxis. There is opportunity for continued education via training or videos to ensure we take advantage of all the capabilities.
There are some blind spots, production tracking is available on the job but very little analytics tying it to the actual bid rates. Plexxis also has an opportunity to function as a CRM tool for it’s customers client information.
We are using Plexxis for Construction and it has become an invaluable tool for our entire office and business as a whole. We are more effective and efficient everyday because of Plexxis.
Plexxis stores all of our information in one, easy to use place. Data entry, reporting, and forecasting has become easier and second nature.
Plexxis has a bit of an “older” feel to it, but is still incredibly effective.

What I love about it is that My people love it and it makes their jobs easier. Reports are simple and they can get the information I need when I need it. Field and office communication and information transfer is a vast improvement with the Foreman App. But what really makes Mosaic stand out is the people at Plexxis and the support that we get, they really care about our success.

Plexxis is a great tool that brings a collection of disseminated information and creates integrated information dashboards via reports and the program itself. These dashboards of information help us manage and run our business more efficiently.
The strength of the product is that unifies different areas of the company into one integrated database.
The menus in Plexxis can be cumbersome. They allows for countless customization options; but all the countless checks and boxes can loose some of the users and gunk up the data for people who don’t follow all the steps consistently.
Detailed, well though out, everything is connected giving you the ability to get to things quicker.

The Mosaic Enterprise Suite has enabled MKB to streamline many of our key processes. This has freed up value time (=$) and allowed decision makers to have instant access to vital information. The partnership with Plexxis has been fantastic.
The ability to have access to real information in real-time. Another key feature is the ability to sort the data through numerous reporting functions. Our vendors are much happier with the purchasing process out of the Enterprise Suite.
In the PO function, the software allows you to select any user as the purchaser, I do not like this and feel the “purchaser” should always lock on who is entering the data.
Mosaic is a powerful toolset for our organization. All our accounting, payroll, purchasing and contract management is handled inside of Mosaic.
Having a single data source across all departments and all branch locations is invaluable. The visibility to drill down allows any user to get more info from any view point without having to ask another department.
Integration with other systems is direly needed to keep up with the tech landscape of the day.
Plexxis links management, accounting, and the field to provide instance reporting and tracking information along with “real time” information. The oracle platform is the best that I have used.

Plexxis ERP is a complete end-to-end software solution for construction subcontractors. Other construction software providers claim to have this capability but Plexxis truly delivers.
Plexxis was developed with the subcontractor in mind. Most of the popular construction software is developed for the needs of large General Contractors. There are significant differences between what a Subcontracting company needs and what a General Contractor needs in a software solution for their company.
The number of transactions and number of jobs is much larger for a Subcontractor as compared to a General Contractor for the same annual revenue. Plexxis handles all of the transactions - slices and dices the data in the way you want to report it without getting bogged down in the process.

There is a very comprehensive takeoff and estimating system available.
Project managers can: create budgets, create change requests and turn the change request into a change order with the click of a button. When the change order is approved, Plexxis automatically updates the budget cost (by labor and material cost code) and updates the contract amount.
Job related data entered by estimators and project managers is the same data that will be seen by purchasing and accounting. When a change is made in Plexxis on the material, labor or equipment for a project, the result of that change is instantly available across all departments
Budgets can also be adjusted internally if needed and each adjustment has an electronic “paper trail” to let you know who changed the budget, when they changed the budget and what the changes were.
Some reports have advanced settings for a report that allow the person running the report to change the structure of the data and date ranges associated with the reports.
Want to know how much an estimator has sold and at what profit margin over a period of time? How much volume a project manger handles and what their gross profit was for the year? Want to know who your most profitable and not-so-profitable customers are? What types of jobs are most/least profitable for your company? Plexxis reporting can provide those answers!
Some cost reporting that is live on the screen will provide the capability to drill into a cost to show exactly what costs were included to make up the number shown on the screen. This feature is very helpful when you have the need to dig deeper.
Cost projections can be entered and tracked on larger projects. These cost projections will help you spot potential negative trends in time to turn them around. A recap of prior month’s forecasts are available to look back and compare.
Reports are available for field supervisors that show labor budget dollars (or hours), dollars (or hours) used and the labor dollars (or hours) remaining - by cost code.
Another feature for the field is the Plexxis Mobile APP. This mobile app can be used on an IOS or Windows device. Mobile APP features: Time entered daily by job and by cost code - Facial recognition of field workers (clock-in/clock-out) - Several levels of time approval before posting - Field reports to track the job with just the click of a button - Daily Reports - Safety Reports - Purchase Order Requisitions (supervisor approval can be designated within setup) - T&M Tickets with electronic signature approval - I found the deployment of the app to be very easy -

Inventory module needs work, year end inventory count is less than ideal. It would be nice to have more details for item setup in Winbid for estimating purposes (same setup as items in Plexxis), then imported into Plexxis, if it becomes an item that will be “purchased” (after job is awarded). Need to have cost code area for material requests, in the “Foreman app”.
We love how everything is in one place (easily switch between purchasing, Project Management, etc) and how Winbid (the estimating software) integrates seamlessly into Plexxis!

Inventory module needs some work
Plexxis ERP is great at giving you a strong projection of your profits on demand. We often need to wait for month end to know how the Company is doing. Not ERP, it is on demand. ERP will run projections based on committed cost when you enter PO’s, Time card, or the Foreman App.
Mosaic Enterprise Suite, is very easy to use because the windows all look the same for the most part, it doesn’t matter if you are picking a job out of the job center or picking an employee form the payroll tab. They did a great job with this, it makes it easy to find or do things in the program with out calling for help!
In payroll we often have to change the tax setting with employee for many reasons and we have to call in order to make adjustment.
It is an all-inclusive software for accounting, estimating, and project management.
Love having everything in one place.

I like the interconnectivity of having all modules running on the same database. Plexxis is also always dreaming up new ideas to try to push the envelope.
Some modules are not fully developed to work in our specific uses and new features and updates seem to take longer than hoped for.
