A cloud-based ERP and inventory management software for small to midsize manufacturers and distributors.

Product Overview

Digit is a cloud manufacturing ERP and inventory software for small and mid-sized manufacturers and distributors. It handles purchasing, inventory tracking, production, and sales from a single platform, featuring barcode scanning, BOM management, and lot traceability, and is built for industries such as food and beverage, chemicals, cosmetics, plastics, packaging, and distribution. Rather than replacing your accounting system, Digit syncs order and inventory data with software like QuickBooks, Xero, and NetSuite, keeping your financials up to date automatically.

Pros

  • More flexible than traditional ERP software
  • Strong lot tracking and traceability for food, beverage, and chemical manufacturers
  • Fast setup, often live in two to eight weeks
  • Responsive support that builds requested changes

Cons

  • Newer system compared to established vendors
  • No built-in accounting

Target Market

Small to midsize manufacturers and distributors that make and move physical products and want to replace spreadsheets or a legacy ERP. Great for companies with 5 to 200+ employees across food and beverage, chemicals, cosmetics, plastics, packaging, and apparel industries.

Not Recommended For

Large to enterprise manufacturers seeking an ERP with built-in accounting.

Key Features

Manufacturing

  • Production tracking: A live dashboard shows job progress, output quantities, and order status across the floor, generating labels as items are completed.
  • Bill of materials: Supports simple or multi-level nested BOMs, with configurable routings and workflows that define each step of a build.
  • Production scheduling: Plan work orders against available capacity and adjust on the fly to reallocate labor and machines when priorities change.
  • Shop floor control: See what jobs are running, what is late, and what is next, reporting progress directly from the shop floor.
  • Quality: Log inspections and quality incidents against specific items or orders, keeping a full record for audits and corrective action.

Inventory and Warehouse

  • Stock management: Tracks every item in real time as it is received, built, or shipped, including nested parent and child inventory for assemblies and components.
  • Barcode scanning: Scan to move, pick, and receive stock, with each scan capturing the item’s location and origin for accurate counts.
  • Serial and lot tracking: Assign serial or lot numbers and follow them from raw material through build to delivery, supporting recalls and expiration control.
  • Warehousing: Configure locations and bins, build custom labels, generate shipping documents automatically, and track partial depletion of stock.

Purchasing

  • Purchase orders: Create and send POs in a few clicks, then receive against them to verify quantities and flag discrepancies at intake.
  • Material planning: Calculates what to buy and when from live inventory levels, open orders, and demand, turning projected shortages into ready-to-send purchase orders.
  • Vendor management: Keeps a history of vendor pricing, lead times, and supplier quality attached to each purchase. Can assign multiple vendors to items.

Sales and CRM

  • Sales orders: Build quotes, send them by email, and convert them into orders you track through picking, packing, and fulfillment.
  • Pipeline management: Track prospects and deals from first contact through close, with each opportunity tied to the account’s order history.
  • Customer portals: Give customers a live view of their orders, invoices, and shipment status without back-and-forth emails.
  • Price lists: Set automated pricing rules by customer, product line, or volume that apply at quoting.

Platform

  • Customizability: Adjust fields, workflows, and layouts to match your processes instead of changing how you work to fit the software.
  • Accounting integrations: Syncs orders, inventory, and invoicing with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Xero, NetSuite, and Sage Intacct for accounting.
  • eCommerce integrations: Connects to Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, and eBay to pull in orders and keep inventory accurate across every sales channel.
  • API access: Connect custom or in-house systems through Digit’s GraphQL API for data exchange beyond the prebuilt integrations.

Digit ERP Software Review

June 12th, 2026 • Role: End User

I am very satisfied with Digit and prefer it to other ERP systems I have used in the past.

Pros

In the few months I've been using Digit, I'm impressed with the intuitive design. And whenever we do run into a roadblock, the Digit team is quick to respond and resolve the issue.

Cons

Being a relatively new ERP system, not all of the kinks have been worked out.

Digit ERP Software Review

June 4th, 2026 • Roles: Software Developer, Reseller and End User

Our team chose Digit because it offered the best combination of functionality, support, and value. As someone new to implementing an ERP system in a startup environment, I was impressed by how closely the Digit team partnered with us every step of the way. What stood out most was their responsiveness. Whether we had an urgent issue or needed help understanding a complex process, the Digit team, not just customer support, was always available to help. When the platform didn’t fully support a specific need, they worked with us to create interim solutions while developing longer-term improvements. Digit’s AI-powered support has also been a great addition. It provides quick answers and helps users find solutions without having to wait for assistance. Overall, Digit has been more than a software vendor. They’ve been a collaborative partner in helping us successfully implement and grow with the platform.

Pros

The level of support and partnership. The Digit team was highly responsive, accessible, and willing to work through challenges with us. They consistently provided guidance, temporary solutions when needed, and a clear path toward long-term improvements.

Cons

Some functionality wasn't available immediately. As with many growing platforms, there were occasional gaps in functionality that required workarounds while enhancements were being developed. However, the team was proactive in providing temporary solutions and communicating future improvements.

Digit ERP Software Review

June 3rd, 2026 • Role: End User

Positive and uplifting. Digit has been responsive with any changes that we’d like to see and our team has been able to pick it up quickly.

Pros

Inventory and production management capabilities that we've never had before. We are able to manage inventory through complex builds in real-time, which we couldn't do in our old ERP system. I'm able to see the progress of our jobs with just a few clicks and communicate that with customers without having to go out and ask how things are going. It's given our team visibility and confidence that the components and materials they need are in stock and ready to build.

Cons

Being a new software, there are just a few things that are clunky or small user interface changes that I'd suggest. They have been responsive with all feedback though!

Digit ERP Software Review

October 6th, 2025 • Role: End User

We are approximately 6 months into our Digit journey, and so far it has been a very smooth transition for our team, who all have positive things to say since we have made the switch over to Digit. The interface is very clean and intuitive, which has made the process of training each employee to use it a simple and straight-forward process.

From what I understand, our company uses the software slightly differently than other Digit customers, so we have had quite a few requests for changes/customizations to our company-specific Digit build. Their team has been very on the ball about making themselves available for team calls to address our needs, and has been great at implementing requested changes/customizations to fit our needs.

Pros

Transitioning to Digit has been very smooth for our team, who all have positive things to say since we have made the switch. The interface is clean and intuitive, and training employees on it has been a simple and straight-forward process. Their team has made themselves available to address our needs, and has been great at implementing requested changes/customizations to fit our team's needs.

Cons

Changes to the UI seem to require changing the interface for all customers, so requested changes often have to be thought and implemented in such a way that it will help the customer making the request, while not breaking/making worse the experience of the other customers.

Digit ERP Software Review

October 6th, 2025 • Role: End User

We use digit daily to keep up with our operations. Digit has been an incredibly reliable software, with regular updates. It allows us to consistently track our inventory and production while keeping the user experience friendly and intuitive.

Pros

We’ve been using Digit for about a year and it’s been a game-changer for our operation. We use the software daily and we're always able to rely on it. The software is well-structured and intuitive. It’s reliable and consistent, yet still allows us to tailor it for our business needs. What really stands out is the team behind it. They’re always quick to communicate and genuinely care about helping us succeed. Since putting this system in place, we’ve been able to focus more on growing the business and less on worrying about data integrity or things slipping through the cracks. It’s been a great experience all around.

Cons

Honestly, not much. Any small challenges we’ve run into were quickly handled by their support team. It’s clear they care about continuously improving and supporting their customers.

The tool is still growing so with that there are some growing pains and challenges. Sometimes the tool doesn't do 100% of what you want, but I think over time the tool will get there.

Digit ERP Software Review

September 25th, 2025 • Role: End User

The ease of implementation was superb. It was not strenuous, and was important considering we do not have a large team

Pros

We have been using Digit for close to a year now. Moving from taped-together spreadsheets to a more responsive, communicative, modern ERP has allowed for strides in productivity we had not expected. The team at Digit is highly responsive, and has been extremely helpful through the onboarding and extended implementation stages. I have nothing but good things to say about the product and team at Digit.

Cons

The multiple updates, weekly, make it hard to keep up with best practices. Really, this isn't a con, and is what you would want from your ERP
