Great Validation Capabilities
We were especially interested in the business rules Orderful offered because we have a need to onboard new shippers quickly. We knew we’d be able to set up these partners without having a dedicated mapping resource, which we’d always needed up until that point. We also loved the validation capabilities. Most members of our team have less than 3 years of experience working with EDI, but we saw that with Orderful, we could look at an X12 file and understand at a glance whether it was valid.

Handles back-end processes
Orderful’s EDI managed services make it possible for us to focus on hitting our shipping windows and keeping our products flowing to retailers. Now, when we onboard a customer, we don’t have to figure out if their data works or how each testing platform works. We just make sure an order or invoice looks right in Fulfil and then send it off, knowing that Orderful is handling the EDI back-end that plugs into Fulfil.

Exceptional Customer Support
Orderful’s exceptional support, especially the involvement of high-level management to expedite resolutions, really stood out to us. Their commitment to customer success gave us the confidence to navigate a first-time EDI implementation without worrying about prolonged downtime or unresolved issues.

Goes Live Fast
Orderful could move quicker than any other EDI provider we evaluated. We needed a provider that could go live before the ERP implementation was finished. Orderful’s modern API made that possible.

Ensures Smooth Transactions
Orderful allows us to catch and fix errors instantly, reducing the back-and-forth with our trading partners and ensuring smooth transactions

Easy to Use
Orderful has made our work so much easier. Once we got the first partner live, everything just started clicking into place, and we’ve been able to keep up with the pace of our growth.

Full Control Over Changes
We went from days or sometimes weeks for simple mapping updates to having full control over changes that could be made in minutes or sometimes even seconds.

Make EDI Modern, Digitized, and Automated
We were bought in by the idea they can do EDI better. Orderful’s demo helped us gain confidence that we could make EDI modern, digitized, and automated. This initial impression was reinforced by thorough due diligence, including the CEO’s review of Orderful’s funding and investors, confirming they were choosing a partner with staying power. We improved our process because we now understand EDI better thanks to seeing the actual X12 format and having visibility to go into the platform and learn about EDI. We can challenge our partner’s implementation decisions and make better choices.

Orderful was an easy decision
I know nothing about EDI. But I can write code, so I used a Python library that handles EDI translations. I worked with it for about a week. It didn’t go well–in fact, I wasn’t able to translate a single file. As soon as I found out Orderful could translate EDI to JSON, it was an easy decision.

Shortened Testing Cycles
One of our biggest challenges was the time it took to onboard new trading partners. We’ve reduced that time from 3-4 months to just 1.5-2 months–about a 50% improvement. The validation engine ensures everything is right the first time, which has dramatically shortened our testing cycles.

Visibility and Control
With Orderful, we have visibility and control over our EDI. It’s great to finally own the keys to the kingdom and not rely on outside parties.
