Solid program with lots of included features

April 27th, 2023 • Product Experience: 0-6 months • Roles: Purchaser & End User

We were looking for a fund accounting software to replace MIP with. We ended up going with Dynamics Serenic for NPO’s. I have used their older program at a previous job and it looks like their cloud system picked up where it left off.

They were able to offer us alot of the features other programs were charging us extra for. We even are able to be HIPAA Compliant with no added cost!

One feature I really like about the Serenic program is the ability to set up rules. This lets us control what we can use special fund sources on!

Finally, their purchase order process is great. We are able to do purchase requests and set up approvals for our team directly from the system!

Pros

Lots of included modules at no extra cost Ability to be HIPAA Compliant

I've been super impressed with Serenic's ability

December 15th, 2017 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

The challenge with our legacy accounting system was with the way it was engineered. Through time of using it, the chart of accounts had ballooned to over 14,000. We just didn’t have the ability to simply consolidate quickly and report back to the management team.

When we were looking for a new accounting system our top priorities were an integrated grants administrative system that seamlessly worked with our accounting system. We were looking for international fund accounting capabilities as well. And we were looking for the ability to produce timely accurate financial reports.

I’ve been super impressed with Serenic’s ability to both be a flexible fund accounting system but also pivot into great management reports and cost management as well.

designed for not for profit organizations

August 14th, 2017 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

We have needs such as award management, fund accounting, multi-currency, consolidation, and automation of batch allocations. We also needed a solution to accommodate operations of varying size and scope.

Navigator is designed for not for profit organizations. Out of the box Serenic Navigator is a full fund accounting system. Anything we used to track in a spreadsheet is tracked in Navigator.

We have one place where all the financial information is stored

March 21st, 2017 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

Serenic Navigator is an off the shelf solution that is very user friendly and did not require any customization. It is managed by a dynamic company like Serenic.

Serenic Navigator was able to comply with the needs of many different stakeholders: the budget manager, the project managers, the purchasers, and of course all the accountants.

We have one place where all the financial information is stored. We’ve improved all financial processes and decreased the time to upload payroll into the system. We have cut in half the time to produce financial statements which has let us grow further by absorbing more financial transactions.
