We’re primarily using Macola for the accounting. For the manufacturing features, I find them hard to use and cumbersome. I am used to typing in a generic keyword for an inventory and having it pull up a list of relevant results. Macola doesn’t give that option. It also doesn’t have good drilldown for work orders and job cost as well.
The solution was great and we felt it would be a good software for our company.
It was definitely a lower cost option compared to some of the other options we looked into. We kept them around in consideration for quite a while simply for this fact alone.
Unfortunately the solution did not have a requirement to cost inventory items by serial number, which was something we absolutely needed. There were definite work-arounds available, and I would have personally chosen this solution over the other option we reviewed had this been immediately available.
