STACK Software

I really liked the STACK estimating program from our demo. The system was able to handle both estimating and take-offs for us. But they were a bit more expensive than some of the other programs we looked at. One feature I wish it had was the ability to view and bid on jobs local to me.

I ended up going with Stack because my freinds and Software Connect recommended it. I was using manual methods before and this is a huge improvement. Once I fully learn how to optimize the software it will cut down my time spent on estimates greatly!

I have not used other programs to compare it with but so far I have enjoyed Stack for my business.

Fantastic takeoff program for small simple takeoffs but they are missing tools such as linear cut tool that make the takeoff revision process a lot more work than it should be.

The program has surpassed my expectations, the trainers are knowledgable and easy to work with. I’m really excited to see how this transforms our bidding process and materials counts in the field.

I have been using Stack for the past couple of years and I couldn’t be happier. The ease and accuracy of this program helps me do takeoffs in half the time it used to take me. I would recommend Stack to anyone in the construction industry.

Maybe just spend a little more time explaining several items as steel fabrication has many variations and there really was no way to set parameters during the take off. Other than that it’s a great piece of work.

Great software for our business. We like the ease of being able to log in on any device with internet connection to do takeoffs. Not to mention the export excel option which saves us a great deal of time when creating proposals in excel and having all the takeoff info from stack easily transferred over in no time.

Great program with Lots of updates. a couple things I would like to see would be the ability to modify the plans. Another would be able to insert photos. all in all great program and great company with lots of support

The team has been outstanding! They followed up frequently, gave a great demo and allowed me to take my time to use the software.

The software itself is exactly what I was looking for to do takeoffs, auto-count equipment, measure lengths, view drawings anywhere and more. My team will be buying again as they saw how well STACK worked for me.

Only thing I would add is a report that shows what pages have what equipment for an easier overview of my takeoff.

Extend training time or hold workshops where folks can go for 8 hours to learn how to maneuver the site

I have used other takeoff programs and Stack surpasses the others. It’s a very user-friendly program.

Great software to to do your takeoffs

Stack Software has exponentially increased estimate turn around. Custom formulas, take offs, bookmarks, highlighting, clouding…etc. Works exceptionally well for Paducah Production.

I have waited a few weeks before leaving this review. I have to say I was nervous about paying so much for something when i didn’t know what i was doing. The stack team has been amazing. When i was asked how much i knew about the blueprint and where i thought i should start. My response was, is there a negative number because I don’t know anything. My trainer has been fantastic starting me from the basic working me through the process. They have been amazing. I have to say I was mad at myself for wait so long to pull the trigger just because i didn’t know how to read blue prints.

Very user friendly interface and love that it’s 100% cloud. We do have some difficulties losing large take-offs when cutting and pasting using multi-select. We need this addressed, so we don’t have to redo large take-offs.

The ongoing development of additional features is impressive. This was reinforced by watching a webinar which clearly explained how to use different functions as well as giving an insight to planned new features. We will definitely keep STACK.

This product is unlike any other. Since changing to STACK our estimating process has evolved leaps and bounds!

Stack does everything well. If it were not for some glitches that happen on a semi-regular basis I would give Stack 5 stars easy. I still highly recommend Stack to everyone in need of take-off software.

Very Accurate

Stack is very easy to work with from anywhere. Its great to take your tablet or laptop with your marked up drawings to the job site.

Makes doing takeoffs so much easier. Simplifies the entire process. Definitely recommended!

Very good so far. Its a bit difficult allocating the time required to customize assemblies but once completed it definitely proves to be valuable. Would like to see internal (in-house) satellite or aerial view to complete take offs. Overall its seems accurate, still learning to walk with this program but can’t wait to run with it soon.

I’m impressed with this software I really recommend this to anyone that is in Construction business excellent choice.

I only use a small portion of the Stack software options. flooring is such a one dimensional product and easy to take off on most any software. Stack is simple for what I use it for and allows me to enter the info I need.

Well worth the money.

The software was great, the pricing is a bit high. The customer service could use some improvement, as I was using the free version and I was restricted from using it because my usage was high. I feel this was unfair as I was staying within the free use guidelines.

The support is awesome, the system is simplified to simply breakdown conditions that can be adapted to your needs. Cost effective option for estimating.

Before bringing STACK on board, we were either having to get a physical set of blueprints and do an old-style takeoff with a scale ruler, or I’d have to email the file over to one of my vendors who would then break down the takeoff. The problem with that is it was taking two weeks at a time to get takeoffs back from vendors.

STACK has sped up things for me 10x faster than what I was taking before. It was taking 2 weeks to do something I can do in a matter of hours now.

I have saved money only because it’s expensive to print blueprints. It’s also the time and driving that you get to save from having to go pick up blueprints or a specific page.

Unlike most guys, I do ask for help. Right away I took a quick demo of the basic functions. The basic stuff was easy to pick up on, it’s a simple program to use. The smaller detailed items like learning how to edit, I had to reach out to support and get some feedback. They are very helpful and always return my call or email very prompt.

I think the simplicity of the solution and how easy it is to use is the best thing about it. It’s a very simple program to use and does an incredible job at something that could be very difficult to use.

We have a remote office in Florida. There are projects there and at our main location. We wanted to make sure we could easily share information. It’s hard to do that manually without doing a conference call.

STACK helped us to make that transition much easier between what’s happening remote or here. Also now it has probably saved us 3-4 days in a project just by being able to automate that.
