Striven Review: Pros and Cons, Features
Striven stands out with its stellar integration of business tools for small to medium service and project-based industries. We loved the low implementation cost and mobile-responsive design. However, it lacks a native payroll system and critical path management, which is a drawback for larger businesses.
While Striven is a great choice for those stepping up from spreadsheets into a fully-integrated package, its limitations might make other solutions a better fit for e-commerce and large enterprises. Despite the few hiccups, it’s still a game-changer for many businesses.

The system is customizable, offering dedicated portals for external users such as vendors and customers. It also integrates with third-party systems through built-in integrations and Striven’s API.
However, there might be better choices for large businesses, those requiring built-in tools like payroll and critical path management, and e-commerce businesses.

We found Striven to meet all of our needs
We were looking for a manufacturing solution that would help us with our inventory control and bill of materials. On top of that, we have many companies under our main umbrella and needed the program to support multi-company.
After a short search, we found Striven to meet all of our needs. Not only were they able to handle our multi-company requirements their program came in a lot cheaper than some of the other programs we explored.
Pros
Multi-Company Support Affordable
Adding categories is very simple
I do like it so far. I chose it because of the features; the customizable aspects of it. It’s designed to be easy to tailor to your company. Adding categories is very simple. The accounting - very simple. Even my CPA really likes it. As far as the things I have used its been very simple to do work with. Support has been great. They’re very interactive, very responsive. Overall I definitely would say that it is the right one for me.
Some bugs but a great support team
We were looking for an easy to use accounting program. We hated QuickBooks and then ended up finding Striven through Software Connect. We are able to do everything I wanted and we are going to phase out our old software at the start of the year. Their support team was very helpful.
Pros
Great support team. Walks me through everything. I am 74 and being shown how to use the software is great!
Cons
Some bugs came up but were solved quickly. Exporting reports go to excel. But we are working on exporting them to PDF so we can print them.

When searching for a new accounting software
Excellent online accounting and accountability software
Overall: Overall so far the experience has been great! There are a few things we wish we could have as new features (just like with any software) however we are confident that these will come in updates soon as they are constantly adding new features that customers request!
Pros: We originally were a Quickbooks enterprise user. When searching for a new accounting software, we really wanted to implement a software that was online and contained features that could keep our business more accountable. Striven is a perfect match for our company, we are able to create custom reporting as well as export nearly anything via API to google sheets or another custom program to keep our company running smoothly.
Cons: Just like any software, there are some features you wish you could have that may be missing. The wonderful thing about Striven is that when features you desire are not available they are willing to discuss the features you are looking for and either find a way to implement them right away or add them as a future feature in the coming updates. Switched From: QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Reasons for Switching to Striven: We were unhappy with how this software would not sync with other products to increase our productivity. We looked at QB online as well but unfortunately they are still way behind their competition.
Pros
Quick and easy to use online accounting platforms are really hard to come by especially ones that are robust like Striven. It is impressive that they have created an online system that competes with QuickBooks desktop and has many other features Quickbooks desktop or online cannot offer.
Cons
Just like any software, there are some features you wish you could have that may be missing. The wonderful thing about Striven is that when features you desire are not available they are willing to discuss the features you are looking for and either find a way to implement them right away or add them as a future feature in the coming updates.

Striven is packed with fully integrated features
We transitioned to Striven from another ERP that we had used for 16 years. From the first contact with Striven I was impressed. The sales staff answered all my questions and was well versed in how to use Striven. The frontline migration staff was incredible and worked tirelessly to migrate our accounting and database files into Striven. Striven is packed with fully integrated features every business needs. Accounting, recurring invoicing, sales orders, online banking, task functions, web-enabled lead forms, etc. Their crown jewel is the Customer/Vendor Portal. The portal allows clients to view their documents and review and pay invoices via credit card or ACH. All of this for a reasonable monthly fee due to their viral customer acquisition model. A lot of thought and planning has gone into developing this software. Striven is a fast, robust SaaS that is updated with new features frequently.

Pros
Customer Portal
Cons
The DISCUSSIONS feature needs more functionality to make it easier to find older messages.
It's comprehensive and user intuitive
Striven is an all-in-one SaaS ERP that is affordable, comprehensive, simple to setup, easy to use, and beautiful look at and work with.
Pros
It's comprehensive and user intuitive.
Cons
Salesforce automation may be a little light. Even though it is accessible on any device it would be better if they offered a mobile application.
