Getting started with WrkPlan was easy, and their customer service is exceptional, with a human being always responding within 24 hours. I appreciate the user-friendly UI of the ERP and the timekeeping system, plus the convenience of a mobile app for timekeeping. Some accounting modules require many manual steps, likely due to DCAA compliance, which is understandable. Overall, WrkPlan is a great, customer-focused company with a product that offers good value for its cost.

What I like most about WrkPlan is the streamlined tracking of costs, revenues, and contracts, both in detail and broadly. We also like the option to select only the modules we need, avoiding unnecessary costs for unused modules. The incurred cost section simplifies report management, making our work easier. The ability to view costs for each contract at a glance is a definite plus. The customer service is unmatched in my 20 years of accounting and job cost work, making WrkPlan a standout choice. Also, being able to propose new features and see them implemented makes us feel part of the team. The job costing tool is more detailed and user-friendly than the other systems I’ve used in the past.

WrkPlan’s strong compliance enforcement has been a major benefit for us. Its timekeeping system integrates seamlessly with invoicing and AR, ensuring everything is properly accounted for. The customer support is responsive and personalized, setting it apart from others we’ve used. I highly recommend WrkPlan for efficient handling of accounting, AR, and invoicing tasks. The user roles feature helps us create workflows with clear approval and closing processes.

Very impressed with controls and over-all function of software providing real-time reporting, accessibility, and accountability. Great resource that captures and provides reliable costing allocations to end product.

The Good…

WrkPlan is much more user-friendly than similar products available and yet provides the controls necessary for audits and reliability.

The Bad…

Since payroll is not integrated, I would like to see the ability to enter lump sum timecard documents so that payroll reports ran in WrkPlan reconcile to third-party payroll reports (WrkPlan payroll reports don’t allow for bonuses, commissions, etc. - so, “Payroll” reports don’t really reflect “Payroll”)

The interface is very modern and responsive. Cloud based accounting software so I can access it from my client’s location or when I am travelling.

It has a steep learning curve if you are not an accountant or have not used Deltek.

The Good…

The menus and interface are modern and well organized. Easy to correct mistakes.

The Bad…

The date control is terrible. When you click in a date field it has a date mask but the cursor doesn’t always go to the start of the field. You can’t use the delete key for corrections. The drop down calendar requires you to scroll through months, so if you want to run a report for last fiscal year you have to manually type in the date or scroll.

The user manual is poorly written and is not detailed enough to use the software without going through user training.
