Love the customer portal
The customer portal has been really great for us. It’s allowed us to continue to grow without always adding more headcount to our customer service team. Most of our customers can just go online and take care of whatever they need themselves. It’s a huge benefit for us.

Why did we choose Datex? It was its flexibility. It had a lot of things we were looking for. We truly felt that Datex would be a better fit for us because we would not be a ‘small fish in a big pond” as we would if we decided to go with a Tier 1 WMS vendor. We felt we would get better communications and partnership with Datex than with a Tier 1. We value talking to the same group of people and it has stayed mostly the same over the years, people who know our operations inside and out

Clients can go and view their inventory live and see all the inbound and outbound movements. It was a pretty vast improvement from where we were to where we are now. We went from turning around an order in two to three hours to processing an order in a matter of minutes.

Datex sent a very knowledgeable team member in to train us, and then a second team member was here during our actual go-live.

Great customer ePortal
A benefit has been the use of the ePortal that allows our customers to have the flexibility to pull down their own reports and see live inventory. This is extremely helpful and cuts down on a lot of back-and-forth phone calls and emails.

Going from 20 to nearly 2000 SKUs has been little challenge
We use FootPrint® at Ocean Cold and without it we would never have been able to keep up with the SKU sprawl we have encountered over the last 2 years. Going from 20 to nearly 2000 SKUs has been little challenge with the help of a true RF WMS. Our parent companies decision to build a large cold storage coupled with our decision to use Footprint has saved our corporation millions during the economic downturn.
