Add New Asset To Track
When creating a new asset, you can create a location/facility, equipment/machine, or tool. The difference between which asset type you select will determine the further data set it will ask about the asset.
For a facility, you can further categorize the asset into a building, inventory storage, or a plant. This facility can be created as part of an existing facility or as a standalone asset. Further optional details include parts/BOM, metering/events, personnel, files, custom, and log. One unique feature of the facility asset creation is that Fiix will automatically generate a barcode/QR label for this facility (as typically, a facility won’t have one).
In adding equipment, you can select a criticality, an asset category, and other identifying information such as make, model, serial number, etc. Purchase information can also be input, along with location details. You can assign a parent, determining where an asset appears in the hierarchy. Parents can be a location site or another asset to show that the asset is a component of another. A barcode will not automatically generate, as the barcode format is set in the category. You can change the barcode settings in the category or assign a different category to the equipment.
Adding a tool asset has a similar feel to the facility asset creation. A QR code is generated for you. You choose whether the tool is part of an existing equipment asset or located at a facility. You can then fill in generic information such as make, model, serial number, etc. Additional information includes metering/events, personnel, warranties, businesses, purchasing, files, and more.
Create Work Order
Creating a work order is relatively simple, with a big “New Work Order” button that lets you choose the site of the asset, which asset requires the work order, and then a summary of the work order details. This includes a description, priority, maintenance type, suggested start date and time, suggested completion date and time, estimated time in hours and minutes, and which user to assign the work to.
Reporting
The analytics part of Fiix lets you visualize your maintenance data. This includes ready-to-use dashboards and reports that show team performance, set KPIs, and review metrics.
Example reports include active WOs by User, Active WOs by Type, Active WOs by Priority, Late Work Orders, Late High-Prioirity Work Orders, Scheduled vs Unplanned Maintenance Hours per week, and Scheduled Maintenance Compliance percentage.
Fiix CMMS offers reporting and analytics capabilities that provide real-time KPI information through customizable dashboards and ready-made reports. The analytics feature allows users to filter data in various ways and drill into individual data points, work orders, or assets to investigate further.
With over 100 templated reports, a custom report builder, and automatic report sending, Fiix CMMS helps users gain full visibility into maintenance and equipment data, reduce waste and risk, and build accountability for the team. Additionally, the Audit log feature captures and records all activities completed in the CMMS, making it easier to submit proof during audits.
What Features Are Missing?
Although Fiix CMMS offers many useful features, there are a few areas where it falls short.
- Inability to add custom images to assets. This means that users cannot upload images of their equipment or machinery for quick reference and identification.
- Lack of a feature to duplicate assets. This can be time-consuming for those who need to add similar assets that differ only in serial numbers or age.
- Clicking on quantities in the technician dashboard does not provide a report of those items. Instead, a pop-up box indicates that this feature is coming soon.
- Reporting is only available in the Professional plan or higher. This = may limit access to important data for those on lower-tier plans.
