Property Tree Review
no customer service and lots of promises but nothing gets done
Poor customer support, constant issues
Poor customer support, constant issues. You cannot get hold of anyone on the phone and they constantly disable their chat feature. They have a suggestions forum but rarely if ever do anything suggested even if it has hundreds of votes. If they do decide to do something it take YEARS to get done. I do not recommend using this software. There are better ones out there!
Pros
Automated inspection notices and lease renewal reminders
Cons
VERY POOR customer support!

Unacceptable run around. They dont seem to know which way is up
The team themselves have no idea whats going on. We were promised when moving to Property Tree that it had an advertising module. By the time we moved they changed their minds and said no we dont have that facility. A few months later investigating myself I found somewhere in a help manual that they did have an advertising module. I had their support team sending me instructions running around with all our portals for 2-3 weeks back and forward between us all until another person from Property Tree said no it doesnt exist. The help guide is wrong, the support team dont know what theyre talking about. It does not exist yet. However we are making one. It has been in production and remains in production, it will be tested inhouse in March, released for beta in June. June slipped to July. This whole time I have been in touch with them checking in on progress and all seemed to be going as planned. Now in July I hear from another person at Property Tree - no, that never happened. Nothing is underway, nothing is coming.
Unacceptable run around. They dont seem to know which way is up. Not recommended.
Pros
Nothing.
Cons
Their constant lies, or complete lack of ability and awareness in their own team.
We needed to be brought up to date
We look after many residential properties with a small commercial portfolio as well. We have around 750 properties under management today and have 16 people working in the office.
When I came into the business two years ago we were doing things differently due to the processes and systems we had in place. I had a background as a chartered accountant and wanted to brought what I learned into the business. From my perspective, I wanted to be at the forefront of technology while still being able to service my customers. We needed to be brought up to date into 2018, so we chose Property Tree.
One of the feature’s we liked within PropertyTree was Invoice Genius. That feature lets us process a huge amount of invoices in a short amount of time, otherwise we’re be manually putting receipts into the system.
Another feature we love is the owner and tenant portal. We can communicate with clients as quickly as possible depending what is going on.
I also love that I can work at home. Having everything on my personal computing is big to me.
Inspection manager is an app we use to perform inspections and use our mobile phones. We can communicate changes to properties to the landlord as quickly as possible.
It saved us
We have 14 staff and our property management team looks over 700 properties.
We’re always looking for ways to improve our business. We started looking at cloud-based systems 3 years ago. We employe a lot of women in property management, some of which have babies or are expecting, and this gives them the option to work from home.
We started with another software and it was a disaster. We tried it for 4 weeks and support was nonexistent. Every day was stressful.
We moved to Property Tree and it saved us. One of my favorite things is the dashboard. Everything is there from a glance and the statistics are always up to date.
The client portal has been very handy for us. They can log in directly and view their statements or contact us via the portal.
The support is great. We love the online chat feature so we can jump on and get someone to respond right away.
Automated communications have saved us so much time, along with automated receipts, arrears notices, and more.
