This is a very good ERP for a small to medium size manufacturing company

January 3rd, 2019 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

This is a very good ERP for a small to medium size manufacturing company.

Pros

This ERP is very fast and user friendly. You can easily make custom reports with it.

Cons

Not as customizable as big ERP like Epicor. Some reports or other functionalities may stop working after an upgrade... I encourage you to test every new version thoroughly before updating your production server.

The best part of genius is the ability to do scheduling

December 20th, 2018 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

Genius is a great program for smaller companies who need to step up their ERP program, but are not yet able to have a completely personalised program made for them. It addresses all aspects of the manufacturing process, from the bill of material to billing the finished product.

Pros

The best part of genius is the ability to do scheduling

Cons

Personalised reports are difficult to deal with when doing updates of the program. Things that work fine in one version suddenly disappear in the next. And their customer service definately needs updated. It takes way to long to settle problems that are being had with the program. **Developer Response:** Hi Lisa, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review! I'm happy to hear that you think our ERP is great and that it is really helping with your scheduling! I'm sorry that you are having some issues with our customized reports - I will forward your concerns to our product team. We are always striving to improve our product, so thank you for the valuable feedback. - Jesse Linklater, Director of Marketing

It's easy to use and divided into modules

December 10th, 2018 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

It’s easy to use and divided into modules that support a phased approach. The modules are comprehensive and are well suited to our industry.

Pros

The individual modules allow for easier introduction and learning. The user interface is logical, and users and administrators catch on quickly.

Cons

It is a slightly dated look, and required 5 or more steps for data manipulation.

An easy-to-use, easy-to-implement system for SMEs

February 20th, 2018 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

Genius ERP is an out-of-the-box ERP solution for manufacturers handling custom and repeat jobs. It’s designed for companies that don’t want to invest heavily in IT, but would like to benefit from features that handle complex manufacturing from end to end.

Pros

This is an easy-to-use, easy-to-implement system for SMEs. The modules cover pretty much everything needed and the system does a good job of centralizing info for real-time business oversight and planning.

Cons

The interface looks dated.

For smaller businesses with complex operations this is not the software

October 18th, 2016 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

For smaller businesses with complex operations this is not the software I would recommend. It is best suited for the accountant and not the entire company.

Pros

We have used this software for 5 years and its hard to think of much we like about it. The amount of information you can provide about a product is the only thing that sticks out.

Cons

The ability to make customized reports. The errors all appear in french instead of english. When consuming material if it appears more than once in a BOM it does not provide a running total of material left available.
