Hippo CMMS Review
Hippo CMMS was acquired by iOFFICE in 2019 and is no longer supported; they recommend existing customers switch to Eptura Asset.
What Hippo CMMS lacks in inventory capabilities, it makes up for with its interactive floor plans and valuable analytics. It’s user-friendly web-based system supports preventive maintenance scheduling and has responsive customer service.
However, it falls short on direct integrations with major ERP and accounting systems, so if that’s a priority, you might need to consider other options.

We felt Hippo CMMS was incredibly easy to use. This means users should be able to get up and running with the software quickly. We also felt the support team at Hippo CMMS was responsive and helpful when we had questions. While more in-depth pricing information was not available on their website, we learned that the starting price of Hippo CMMS was around $35/user/month, which we felt was an incredible value.
Certain features of Hippo CMMS are not very customizable. The inventory aspect of Hippo CMMS felt limited, such as lacking a detailed replenishment history and reporting on where parts are used. Considering it is maintenance software, inventory might not be your first priority, but I could see companies wanting a “full package” feeling disappointed.

User Reviews of Hippo CMMS
Write a ReviewGone are the days of searching through file cabinets
Maintaining maintenance records and consistently scheduling PM services have made our maintenance program really take off. Gone are the days of searching through file cabinets for past maintenance reports and missing critical scheduled services/audits. Hippo CMMS provides me with the tools to accurately track, report, and research all of the items important to maintaining our building, machinery, and vehicles!
Hippo CMMS Review
Hippo CMMS has helped turn us from a reactive department to a proactive department thus reducing lengthy downtimes.

A very valuable piece of team management software. It is very important in the accomplishment of our departmental goal - the care of our facilities.
Having a CMMS that is easy to use streamlines our maintenance department
Having a CMMS that is easy to use streamlines our maintenance department. Work orders are easy to schedule and complete. Scheduled PM’s have helped with lowering the number of unplanned maintenance downtime, increasing our overall production efficiency and minimizing our defects.
Hippo CMMS Review
This has been the easiest software to use and train other to use. This software has helped us become a SQF certified company.
Hippo CMMS Review
We get work done more efficiently and things don’t get forgotten. Reduce time reporting problems with equipment. Able to prove past problems are repaired. Easily justify planned repairs or upgrades.
It's the best CMMS I know of
It’s the best CMMS I know of. We’ve gone from a complete ‘fog of war’, not knowing what’s going on with maintenance beyond the moment, to a reasonably good handle on the program. In my view we could be making much better use of Hippo, but that’s our shortfall (organizational will seems to have peaked at the level we’re at) and not the software. We’re content, but if we wanted, Hippo already offers much more than we use.
Hippo CMMS Review
It has changed the way we do maintenance from breakdown to preventative and has allowed us to track maintenance of various machines easily.
Hippo CMMS Review
Our maintenance department made a light year jump from the stone age to current times by going to this system.
Maintenance on site is now better able to schedule and track
Maintenance on site is now better able to schedule and track work to be done. All work is recorded and can be viewed by management at any time to make sure PMs are done and watch for possible overloads. Technicians are able to track each other and keep things moving regardless of being in touch with others that have been involved or not. Multi site users can see what they have on the books before arriving so they make sure they have the tools and parts needed before they go to site. Took a while to get everyone comfortable and mold the information to the users but now they would not give it up!
Work order management is now efficient and effective
Work order management is now efficient and effective. Technicians have access to their work orders through cell phone vs. through a kiosk station , cutting time spent on a computer. Timing is more accurate for labor tracking with use of mobile App also. Parts inventory is accurate and more efficient as well.
Hippo CMMS Review
When we have equipment failure having the manuals and specs at my finger tips has been the biggest impact. Keeping track of repairs and work orders is also high on the list
Hippo CMMS Review
I have 2 buildings to manage and it would not be possible for me to know what is going on without Hippo CMMS. I get every work order to approve and assign and this keeps me in the loop. Thank you for helping me every day.
Hippo CMMS Review
Literally helps me to do my job to the best of my ability everyday. Love this product and recommend it to everyone I work with.
Before Hippo there was not a consistent way of handling work orders
Before Hippo there was not a consistent way of handling work orders, tracking work order, and we were unable to produce the reports that our Chief and Council were requiring at short notice. With Hippo this has now dramatically improved. All staff are able to access Hippo, see the work orders that need to be worked on, completing work orders and preventative maintenance allowing us to produce the reports required by our ED, CEO and Chief and Council when required. It has also allowed us to do proper billing rates for the work done as the time to complete the work order is being tracked correctly now.
