RF Smart has helped us streamline our picking and packing processes

February 12th, 2021 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

RF Smart has helped us streamline our picking and packing processes with the use of their technology. What was once a manual and inefficient process, is now an efficient and scalable process. It has allowed us to decrease our error rate by almost half. There are many other functions that have helped grow our business as well ie. Pick Planner, Packing Station, Bin Transfers, Cycle Counts, Purchase Order Receiving. So far it has been a great tool to use in conjunction with our Warehouse Management System.

Pros

An array of different functions and the ability to customize those functions to be more unique to our business needs.

Cons

Some functions can be pretty rigid so you may need to spend more money to customize those functions to work for your specific business needs.

They provide excellent customer support

February 5th, 2021 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

Rf-Smart in our case is integrated with Netsuite to help service our warehousing needs. On top of that, they provide excellent customer support that will do what they can to fix, help, or modify processes to function fluidly.

Pros

Their response time to questions and inquiries is useful. We dove into a new system add on, when we need it help and support is always ready within a timely matter. This helps our business make sure we have little down time due to technical issues.

Cons

I don't know if it is offered but an analysis of the use of the product would be great. I would like to know if we are using the product to max capabilities. I feel like we may not be utilizing it 100% so if they offered analysis and support to catch up to speed that would be really cool.

It's an all in one integrated platform

February 4th, 2021 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

RFSmart is an all in one platform for integrating Netsuite with portable scanning devices. It does everything for us from receiving, inventory putaways, cycle counts, transfer orders, and sales order picking. It integrates seamlessly especially for those who use a bin address system and their tech support is top notch.

Pros

It's an all in one integrated platform. Whatever we need it will do and if it won't then RF Smart can come up with customized solutions based on what you need. It's scanning software abilities had really helped to streamline and simplify our operations.

Cons

Every now and then we encounter a software limitation but RF-Smart's customer service is excellent and they help us solve any problems we encounter.

It makes inventory control significantly easier

February 4th, 2021 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

It makes inventory control significantly easier. It gives our users the ability to do things like transfer inventory on the go and have it instantly change the inventory levels on NetSuite so we can have an accurate count of what product is where.

Pros

This product is professional grade. High quality easy to use UI and I don't think it has gone down once since we got everything set up. The software is typically transparent on what an error could be and as an administrator, detailed error messages go the extra mile to save me time and the company money.

Cons

The lack of customizability. A small function adjustment (that our in house IT could have made quickly for cheap) was expensive and took a couple weeks.

RF-Smart is simple and easy to use

February 4th, 2021 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

RF-Smart is simple and easy to use and our WH staff say it really suits their needs. If we need cusotmizations, no problem. Reaching out for support is an excellent experience and working with their technical staff is a breeze. I especially like the RF-Smart Inventory Reporting Tool. It has helped us so many times!

Pros

I really like that its easy to administer and easy to use so the learning curve is fast. It integrates well with NetSuite and I love that I can proces via web client for troubleshooting with my WH team. No hardware required for me as an admin.

Cons

Well...most of our customization is added cost to code. I guess its the same with most products, so can I really complain?

The possibilities are endless with the system

February 4th, 2021 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

RF-SMART helps us keep track of our product, from fulfilling sales orders to replenishing our locations. It has been a great tool. The level of customer service we have received has been outstanding.

Pros

The software is very self explanatory, especially when using the hand held devices. If we run into an issue, the team is there to help and they dont stop until the issue is resolved. The possibilities are endless with the system. I think there is still more we can learn about it.

Cons

Count dates. This is one hiccup we have encountered. During inventory season we need to make sure everything has one, if not then chaos happens.

It was very impressive how quickly we went live with RF-SMART

October 11th, 2019 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

We wanted everything integrated into NetSuite, so we looked for first-party solutions or solutions that are NetSuite native.

It didn’t take much convincing for the management team to decide to make the change from what we had to RFSMART. They realized that despite the money we’d invested in the first solution, RF-SMART was so much easier to use that it would be beneficial to stop the implementation and go with RF-SMART.

Within a week, we were fully up and running with RF-SMART. It was very impressive how quickly we went live with RF-SMART. It is so much easier and faster to configure. Everything about it is geared towards working with us, and not us having to adapt to a system.

With RF-SMART, our employees now know at the time of receipt whether the items go on the shelf or if they’re going to staging. They know what action to take because RF-SMART prompts them via the handheld device.

Before RF-SMART, when our employees had to key the barcode numbers into NetSuite, they would often key in the incorrect item number. With RF-SMART, we have eliminated those errors. By scanning the receipt and using RF-SMART to verify the UPC to the data in NetSuite, we have seen a huge boost in accuracy

Inventory accuracy is now the best it’s ever been

October 11th, 2019 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

Within two weeks of contacting RF-SMART, we had accomplished a full wall-to-wall inventory at every location. We’ve never done an inventory count that quick or that accurate. Inventory accuracy is now the best it’s ever been. Inventory inaccuracy was in the double digits last year. But now with RF-SMART, it’s less than 2%.

With RF-SMART, we have full traceability from who picked an order to how long it took to be packed. This allows us to examine internal inefficiencies. This wasn’t something we had prior to RF-SMART

Since implementing NetSuite and RF-SMART, we’re able to focus on optimizing our business.

With RF-SMART, we can get the right customer the right product

January 22nd, 2019 • Roles: Purchaser & End User

To remain competitive in the ecommerce world, you have to get each customer their order as quickly as possible with as little errors as possible.

With RF-SMART, we can get the right customer the right product as quickly as possible which gives our business the best change of retaining business.

TC-55 scanner is the same as a smartphone but it has a scanner at the end that scans the barcodes. It is a technology we weren’t used to but learned in a manner of minutes. It lets us track our inventory throughout the supply chain process.

Errors have greatly decreased since implementation. We can pick up to 50 orders at a time. It lets us run the business better than ever.
