Prior to using NEXGEN, we used MaintenanceConnection and before that it was MP2. The reason they didn’t work out is because they were too much of a one-size-fits-all. NEXGEN came in and customized the program to meet our needs. We started using it in 2008. We went to it because of the asset management module that no one else had. We were 95% unplanned maintenance. Within a year, with the help of NEXGEN we achieved 75% planned maintenance.

One of the big advantages we found after implementation was in our PM program. We had more than 700 open PMs for three mechanics. The mechanics didn’t have time to do the PMs. NEXGEN helped us fine tune our PM program to do more proactive work and free mechanics up to go handle PM.
