Yardi Genesis is a fully integrated accounting and property management application. It contains a powerful General Ledger with accounts receivables, accounts payable, check writing and bank reconciliation that combines a comprehensive property and tenant database with custom report writing. Yardi Genesis is designed for all real estate management, including residential, assisted living, commercial, office, industrial, retail, homeowner associations, condo/co-ops and other types of properties.
Yardi Genesis is equipped with many advanced features that enable users to utilize the program with ease, efficiency, and security. It has built-in expense controls that include MICR check encoding, which eliminates the need to have preprinted checks for individual bank accounts. Payable controls make it simple for users to hold payments for specific invoices, vendors, liability and worker’s compensation insurance expiration. Yardi Genesis includes over 100 standard reports, accompanied by a variety of flexible reporting options with automatic drill-down from summary reports to the under-lying detail. Reports can be automatically exported to Word, Excel, HTML, or RTF with a single click of the mouse.
The Yardi eBanking system has been designed to simplify the many tasks associated with banking in the business of property management. The program features automated cash receipts, electronic check clearing, custom tenant statements, and custom payment coupons. EBanking is an optional addition to the Enterprise suite of software. Once, installed, the eBanking module works from the data warehouse of the core program, Property Management. It is from the core program that the user can access the eBanking module and experience the same easy-to-use layout of all Yardi Enterprise utilities.
the support is little to none and it isn’t very modifiable.
Accounting software that I purchased included AR,AP,payroll and general ledger. The back end is very strong and 99% of our needs will be meet with this software. The front end is very simple and reminds me of an old doss program.
Genesis has been well thought through and well developed through the years. The setup has been with ease and the ability to import and export data has been very accommodating. Payroll is able to track just about everything. Reports can be developed by the end user.
Lack of drop down boxes with some information. Must know command codes for certain functions. Must refer to the manual.
