    TallyPrime ERP Limitations

One of the main limitations of TallyPrime is that it’s not Tally.ERP 9, the previous ERP product offered by Tally. The changes range from superficial layout redesigns to entirely new functionality. Some of the changes to the user interface have made navigation difficult. This has caused some previous clients to switch from Tally to a new ERP entirely.

TallyPrime is intended to be used by people without backgrounds in IT or accounting. However, there is still a learning curve for new users. And it doesn’t have a lot of integration options with third-party software, even though it’s sometimes necessary to cover certain functions.

Factors to Consider When Choosing an Alternative

The main reasons property managers switch from TallyPrime ERP comes down to a few key factors:

    • Budget constraints: Like all things in business, the budget will be key when finding an ERP. SaaS plans may charge per user per month, while others are a single perpetual license fee for continuous use.
    • Company size: The total number of users and employees will impact which ERP is right for your organization. For small companies, single-user editions may be more affordable than multi-user editions.
    • Industry needs: An ERP can serve businesses in any industry, though it’s important to note there are many industry-specific versions and editions out there. Some of the most popular are in manufacturing and distribution. Those specialized products are often a better fit than a more generic solution.
    • Additional features or integrations: Some ERP solutions are more robust than others. Fortunately, there are built-in modules, add-ons, and third-party integrations to cover the gaps.

    What is Tally.ERP 9?

Tally.ERP 9 is a business management solution now known as TallyPrime 3.0. It is an enterprise resource planning software intended for small to medium enterprises.

Does Tally still offer support for Tally.ERP 9?

Tally still offers support for Tally.ERP 9. This will continue into the future, although updates have stopped. Current users are recommended to switch to TallyPrime 3.0 for continued functionality and updates.
