We were told by AccuPos that they no longer supported the old AccuCount system and that we needed to buy these scanners. We purchased them and got them set up. AccuPos support was not at all helpful in this process. Our IT had to take care of it. Be warned that you need a fast Internet connection I think. My coworker and I each had a scanner and were counting different areas of the store. Once we had scanned around 500 items, it started taking 15-30 seconds to save each scan, which obviously really slowed us down. When we were finally done, we uploaded the first scanner and found that not all the items we scanned had been saved. I’m guessing it must have been an Internet issue which isn’t the fault of the scanners of course. But when we uploaded the second scanner (more for testing purposes at this point since we knew the count wasn’t going to be accurate), that upload overrode the 1st upload. They give you examples of having one scanner for the stockroom and another for the store floor, but what good is that if they override each other? I called AccuPos tech support and again they weren’t helpful. I asked if that was how it was supposed to work and they said yes. That doesn’t make sense, and it is useless to us now. A big waste of money.
